PAI is a family-owned restaurant that mainly serves Thai food. It was initially established in Northern Thailand, but it currently has different branches across Canada. PAI Northern Thai Kitchen, located near Osgoode Station, provides dine-in, delivery, and takeaway services. It has a very comfortable seating area with themed décor. PAI is all about romance and friendship, so you can either enjoy hanging out with your friends, going on a date, or even purchasing a Digital Gift Card to send to your beloved ones and make their day!
Nuit, the executive chef at PAI Northern Thai Kitchen, narrates the story of Thai cuisine through 120 authentic recipes and location photographs in her cookbook, which is available for the public via Amazon and some other online stores. Still, if you would instead enjoy the taste without putting too much effort, you can choose among their different mouth-watering options on the menu. Do not forget to try Pad Thai, Green Curry, Papaya Salad, Thai Tea, and their Vegan Pad Cha Hett.
The food at PAI is not pretentious or superexpensive, but it is incredibly delicious. Meals look small, but they are filling. The servers always ask how guests want to split the bill to avoid any confusion at the end. Always reserve in advance, or you will get a bar table which is okay but not perfect. Try PAI once, and it will be one of the few places that you will give five stars.

One of the closest restaurants to Osgoode Station is Flame Sushi! It is just three minutes, 160 meters, away from the station. As the name suggests, it is the right place for Sushi lovers, especially those who are fans of Aburi/torched Sushi. If you already have had Salmon Sashimi, you will find Flame Sushi’s version tastier with enhanced texture. Even if you want to have your first Sushi experience, you should not miss Flame Sushi; once you put that piece of art in your mouth, the flavours will be engraved in your taste memory forever.
What could help a restaurant attract new customers and maintain old ones? Great taste and good service! Unique taste, Flame Sushi’s primary goal, comes from quality ingredients. Fruits are perfectly ripe; fish is thin, very fresh, and soft. Rolls have generous amounts of fish and not too much rice; you would never get disappointed by the rolls’ size at all. Among all Sushi rolls, Salmon Oshi, Tuna Oshi, Butterfish Oshi, and Hokkaido Scallop are to die for! Make sure you visit when they have the “buy one, get one free” offer so you can overdose on Sushi!
Flame Sushi has good deals on Ubereats, but they sometimes have the same discounts that online platforms offer; you would better order directly from the store for pickup or delivery to support the owners. The food comes very quickly, well packaged, and beautifully presented; enough packets of wasabi, ginger, and soy sauce are included as well.

Kōjin, which was opened in June 2018, is very close to Osgoode Station; walk down University Avenue, and you will see the front door a couple of minutes later. Kōjin is a Japanese word for God of fire, representing the charcoal flame used to prepare Canadian cuisine by Chef de Cuisine Eva Chin. Although delivery and pickup are available, it has a beautiful view and friendly staff, so you might not want to miss the dine-in experience. It is a perfect spot for formal meals and special events, considering the price point.
The menu at Kōjin changes daily, it is so creative, and you will always be satisfied with the combination of flavours. It would be best if you visited as a group to share or sample as many items as you possibly can. Dishes are not vegetarian-friendly, so take it into your consideration when you invite friends. If you have any dietary limitations, you need to inform the staff in advance.
Oysters with accompaniment sauces are delicious. You must try corn flatbread with beef drippings and brie, plus their croquettes that are crispy and creamy. It is highly recommended to order your steak with a side dish; steaks are cooked upon your request. The Sausage Board- Chef’s selection of three different sausages offered daily and made by their in-house butcher- is liked by many people and makes you go back in a heartbeat.

Its sister restaurant, Miku, has successfully introduced Aburi Oshi Sushi. Minami Toronto has brought the same quality food with a fantastic interior to create a fine dining experience for its customers. It is near Osgoode Station, just 600 meters away, so do not hesitate to give it a try. The staff is sweet and pleasant, no matter if you call for a delivery/take-out or you are a walk-in guest.
They change the menu often to capture special occasions. Minami Toronto has a regular menu for cooked meals and a Frozen To-Go menu (just available for pickup and delivery). There are various options on the cooked menu, but the Ebi Oshi, which is their signature Oshi, makes you feel like you have hit the culinary jackpot! Bento Boxes are high-quality and are definitely worth the price. Sukiyaki Bento has amazingly tender beef and cream-poached eggs with mushrooms and brussels sprouts. Daigaku-Imo, caramelized Japanese sweet potato, is one of those side dishes that you will crave after the very first bite!
What is unique about the To-Go menu is that you can get fresh ingredients and prepare the whole meal in less than 12 minutes; all instructions are explained in a PDF document available on the website, below the “Buy it” option. Salmon Sukiyaki, Soy Ginger Glazed Pork, Sweet Soy Tofu, Unagi Don, and Oyakodon are all packed in food grade bags to provide you with the best at-home dining experience you could ever have.

On a sweltering summer day in the evening, get out of Osgoode Station and walk Queen St West for a couple of minutes to see Ikkousha Ramen is packed- that alone should tell you how popular this hidden gem is! Mr. Yoshimura started Ikkousha Ramen in Hokota, Japan. Then he opened other branches to introduce the best Japanese Ramen to the world, including the Toronto branch established in 2019. Ikkousha is the combination of Ichi (one), Ko (happy), Sha (space) and is all about bringing happiness to its customers, staff, and all other people who are connected to this restaurant in some ways.
The servers are friendly, efficient, and fast. They explain the ordering process and help guests fill the ordering sheet. The menu is not very extensive, but the food is terrific. The Ramon is delightfully rich; the broth is very light and flavorful. Noodles are thinner than usual but are perfectly cooked. The biggest pro is that you can choose the level of saltiness (light, Japanese taste), the texture of noodles (soft to very hard), and the toppings; it is best to go with the premium toppings. There are some excellent condiments on the table that help you add additional flavour to the meal. The Ramen has to be on your bucket list, but the Karaage (fried chicken) is worth trying as it is very crispy outside and juicy inside. Some Ramen spots are becoming less authentic these days, but Ikkousha Ramen would never disappoint you.

Serving the best burger in Toronto and providing vegetarian-friendly dishes, Richmond Station is the best downtown restaurant that is only a ten-minute walk from Osgoode Station. It has an impressive ambiance for a perfect romantic night, business meetings, and of course, special occasions such as birthday parties.
Richmond Station’s tasting menu is phenomenal; it changes weekly so the talented chefs can use seasonal ingredients to surprise guests with the flavours’ combination. Make sure to reserve in advance if you want to try the tasting menu. All elements on this multicourse menu complement each other perfectly, and you cannot find two dishes with similar flavours!
The tasting menu is unique, but Richmond Station is famous for its burger (organic beef, garlic aioli, beet chutney, pickled onions, aged cheddar, iceberg lettuce, milk bun). The bun is so soft and light, the beet chutney adds some pleasant sweetness, and the patty is well-seasoned. Order this darn nicely presented burger, and you’ll be glad you did!
You can’t rave enough about the burger, but it does not hurt to try other good options such as Polenta Fries as they are crispy and flavorful. The Kale and Brussels Salad has so many complex layers of flavour. The Roasted Black Cod is pan-seared and very juicy. Oyster Mushrooms are lightly battered, topped with Kewpie mayo that balances the sweet and the sour with a touch of Togarashi, making it a perfect vegetarian option. All in all, it is worth the time and the price.

There are two types of people who have difficulty finding an excellent spot to grab a bite to eat: vegetarians and picky eaters. Mi Taco Taqueria is a cozy Mexican joint with flavorful vegetarian options and other Mexican cuisines that are carefully made. It is one of the closest restaurants to Osgoode station in the Queen St. area, with a colourful atmosphere and Mexican theme. The staff is super patient and kind; they can fulfill your picky friends’ needs.
The owner is from Texas, and you always hear that her Carne Asada Tacos taste similar to LA and Texas Taco Trucks. Taco is delicious, the shell is easy to handle, and it has plenty of garnishes that complement the meat fill. Mi Taco Taqueria serves housemade flour tortillas that are taste-bud friendly. Three Taco Combo is a good option as they are super flavorful and have a decent amount of filling in them, plus they are reasonably priced. Chicken Burrito, Chicken Bowl, and the Beef Burrito are good options for delivery and take-out; the portion sizes are filling, and they taste pretty well. You would eat their tacos every single day if you could! They all are well-seasoned, and toppings are very fresh.
Mi Taco Taqueria is an excellent restaurant for a quick snack or lunch, especially when you are in a hurry. They also have a catering department that does a stellar job handling various dietary needs for your special events.

Bylobs represents Eastern Mediterranean traditional cuisine with a modern flare. It is located 500 away from Osgoode Station, and there is a paid parking a couple of minutes (max. 5 minutes) walk east of the restaurant. Service is exceptional; the wait-staff are knowledgeable, on-point about refills, and perfect at allergy management. Byblos is very spacious, dimly lit with lots of round tablespaces for groups. The upstairs is more comfortable, while the downstairs has a brighter feel.
The Mediterranean food is delicious, on the pricey side, but it is honestly worth it! The bread is delicious and fragrant, the Steak Tartar blows your mind, and if you are a fan of lamb dishes, do not miss the lamb shoulder. The Manti Dumplings, Black Truffle Rice, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, and Baklava are out of this world! It would be best if you visited in a group; you can order different small portions and then order a few main dishes to try most menu options.
Make sure to reserve in advance so you would not have to wait long to get a table. Byblos is not loud, so it is a good choice for a date night or work dinner. Makan’s options are slightly cheaper than other close-by Bao places. There are several good meals on the menu, including the Crunchy Chicken Bao Burger. Pork Belly on rice, Satay Beef on rice, and Korean Spicy Pork on rice are flavorful options under the Bowls section. The Fried Chicken Bao tastes well with the Truffle Fries. The flavour from the veggies and the mayo sauce make you enjoy every bite. The Satay Chicken Bowl is the highlight of the menu and is served with cucumber and eggs that bring all flavours together. The chicken is very tender, and they remove all the bits of bone and cartilage.

Ramen is a Japanese noodle soup that hasn’t changed for generations, yet it is relevant not only in its birthplace but also in other countries, including Canada. Chef Ogasawara and Sugimoto greet every customer with “Irasshaimase!” at Midori Ramen. They use traditional recipes and fresh ingredients to bring hearty, rich Ramen to all ramen lovers living near Osgoode Station.
Midori Ramen provides incredibly flavorful filling ramens. The broth is creamy, and the meat is very tender that it melts in your mouth; all ingredients meld well together to bring an outstanding culinary experience for all customers. You can take your leftovers home; the containers are intuitive for Ramen as the bowls keep all ingredients out of the broth until you get home and add them together.
The Signature Tori Paitam is a bomb choice; the next best Ramen is the Red Spicy. The Karaage, deep-fried nuggets, is another excellent option that tastes very well with their housemade BBQ sauce. They also have vegetarian bowls for anyone who has particular dietary needs. You can choose your noodles to be thin, thick, Kale, or Gluten-free. You get to choose which Chashu (pork or chicken) you want to pair with your Ramen. Chefs pre-select the best toppings while adding your preferred toppings to your Ramen is an option too. Tala is a take-out and delivery restaurant on Dundas Street, near Osgoode Station, making Filipino home-cooked cuisine in a tasty way. The owners have big hearts; they pay close attention to their customers and try to make the food as authentic as possible.
They offer both delivery and take-out, but since they have delivery boundaries, the most convenient option is to order take-out. There is no parking nearby, so you’d better have a friend with you to stay in the vehicle, and then you do the pickup. It is best to order from Doordash or Instagram DMs; their Instagram page also includes some specials that are not included on their website, in addition to delivery specifications that you must know.
If you want to impress your friends and family, get their Kamayan Feast for two and Fiesta Kamayan Feast for four. Kamayan is a way of serving food: a family food piled on banana leaves and eaten by hands. This concept inspires Tala’s Kamayan Feast boxes, a party-sized pizza box lined with banana leaves. The Feast for two includes grilled pineapple, pork bbq skewers, squid, shrimps, mussels, okra, eggplant, garlic rice, a side salad, and free spring rolls. The Fiesta has the same options as the Feast plus milkfish, tilapia, bbq chicken leg, and liempo. Try Tala’s Sorry Sorry Store options if you want to add any snacks along with your order. Ordering from Tala will be a satisfying experience that makes your wallet feel pleased too.
