Ki Isu is a Korean-operated Japanese restaurant and is one of the best sushi places near Ambleside, with a considerable choice of fusion items on the menu. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite vibrant, and the quality of service is acceptable. The decent food and reasonable prices are what brings so many locals to Ki Isu. The restaurant isn’t that large, but it is cozy, and you will be surprised by their lovely staff.
Here you can try some of their best cuisines, such as the Crunch Crunch Roll (B’s Roll) consisted of tempura bits, Masago, and tuna dressed in mayonnaise. Inside the roll, there is a tasty seaweed-mayonnaise combo, and the tuna is sufficiently soft. The Ki-Isu Style Spider is another dish coming in 10 pieces, and they are soft shell crab, asparagus, lettuce, avocado, and mayo with Tobiko wrapped in soybean paper. The Tuna Mexicana, meanwhile, comes in four pieces with a spicy Sriracha aioli dip.

Casa di Amici Restaurant is a casual fine-dining restaurant in Ambleside Village, offering traditional Italian cuisine made by fresh local ingredients and a vast selection of global wines. Don’t forget to try their pasta, particularly seafood pasta, carbonara and fettuccine Marco Polo which is a tremendous tomato-based spicy chorizo pasta. The mains are all reasonably good. Sunday special is a three-course prime rib dinner. Agnello Salvatore is another top choice as well as the two fish dishes.

The Boatshed is a new bistro located at the old Ambleside Concession site, featuring a novel, more seaside-friendly menu and Spirits selection at an iconic dining site. Here you’ll find indoor and outdoor seats with live music on Sunday afternoon. Outdoor seating has gas fire pits to keep you warm, but you can get take-out and enjoy your meal on the beach. Their coffee is a must-try, especially on rainy days. Chicken burger and truffle parmesan fries are highly recommended.
This is the best place to have an excellent breakfast too. Poached pesto eggs are undoubtedly one of the best choices you can find on the menu that you can’t miss. The brunch Set Menu includes barista coffee, herbal tea or soft drink, and Almond croissant and fruit plate. Their fabulous new greenhouse experiences are now available to reserve for parties of 2-6 people to enjoy exclusive set menus.

Cai Chinese Cuisine is a great spot selling authentic Chinese cuisine near Ambleside. On Cai’s menu, you’ll find a wide selection of yummy Chinese food such as Liang-P, which is highly recommended and its rice noodles are soft but chewy, and the taste is a perfect mixture of sesame sauce, vinegar, and chilli sauce. Spicy hot-oil noodles are also quite tasty. You can have thick noodles, boiled veggies, and healthy seasoning in only one bite.
If you want to try a delicious soup, try Xian lamb soup with the bun. This soup is quite light, with several kinds of fresh veggies and 5 or 6 smoky lamb slices in it. Add the bun crumb to the soup, and you will love it. You can also have duck soup hotpot style, which is something new in West Vancouver. Their lai cai salad is another yummy dish you can try. It’s light and goes well with Chinese cabbage and other vegetables. It is different from similar salads at other restaurants.
