What Exactly Is This Place? Positano Restaurant opened its doors on Bayview and Leaside in Toronto in 1993. Their vision was to create a fine pizza place in a casual and friendly environment, reflecting the discriminating taste and warmth of the neighbourhood it serves.

What Are The Must-Tries? Pizza Positano is a great indicator that shows how this place is skilled in cooking a perfect pizza! A layer of spinach, sundried tomatoes, goat cheese, and chicken are the toppings of this pizza. The spicy oil that comes with this is super delicious!

What Does It Look Like? There are no TVs in this place (that is apparently hard to find!). Because of that, you can expect a quaint, cozy, and peaceful atmosphere in Positano Restaurant.

Anything Else I Should Know? You can order their new homemade sauce selection with your food. Our recommendation is the chicken sauce. That makes your pizza even more delicious!

What Exactly Is This Place? Nodo is an Italian pizza place in the heart of Toronto’s Trendy Junction neighbourhood. Their menu offers a wide range of classic, regional pizzas against traditional standards, alongside creative interpretations of their own with a focus on fresh and approachable. In fact, since 2016, Nodo has been offering great quality pizzas in Toronto. Come with your family, with your friends, on a date, or for a quick bite at their full-service bar.

What Are The Must-Tries? Overall, all the pizzas are just for $20. The dough is nice and fluffy, and the presentation is great. However, my special recommendation to you is to try Chef’s special. It comes with pear, walnuts, and honey. The pizza itself is quite sweet, but that is because of all the honey. It is almost more of a dessert pizza. It is good for ordering in a big group, and everyone can have a slice of it. In addition to that, if you like a strong, creamy, mushroom pizza, I highly suggest Ca’Domini.

What Does It Look Like? For such a charming-looking restaurant with high ratings like Nodo, you will definitely have big hopes. The good news is that the place will not disappoint you at all. You will love the décor and set up, which can be described as rustic boho chic. In fact, the place is an authentic Italian pizza place in every aspect!

Anything Else I Should Know? The service in Nodo is excellent! They are very attentive, polite, responsive, and they are not the least bit rude! – even when you ask to do annoying things!

What Exactly Is This Place? Viva Napoli is a truly authentic Neapolitan pizza place that is located in Mount Pleasant in Toronto. It has won several awards and exclusive membership with L’Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. Their pizza chef comes from generations of true blood Neapolitan family who arrived in Toronto to offer you the best Neapolitan pizza served outside of Naples, Italy.

What Are The Must-Tries? After visiting this place, you will fall in love with Neapolitan pizza! It melts in your mouth in the most delicious way possible. Among all the tasty pizzas on the menu, I recommend you to get Margherita Pizza. This pizza is perfection. If you truly know what a Neapolitan pizza is supposed to be like, you will immediately figure out that this is what authentic Neapolitan pizza is supposed to be like.

What Does It Look Like? Viva Napoli is small and reminiscent of many Italian restaurants that you may have actually visited in Italy: sparsely decorated and white walls with scenes from Old Italian movies. In fact, the décor, with its grey walls and wooden tables, will surprise you in the most pleasant way possible. Unlike many places, the waiter will not disturb you with unnecessary questions and only come to you if you have a question. Magnificent service!

Anything Else I Should Know? In Viva Napoli, the room is quiet enough for easy conversation, and the setting is excellent – including really great glassware and cutlery. But really, it is about pizza. Great, great pizza!

On the inside, the comfy décor and welcoming service from the owner complement any goodwill a customer might have. This great pizza place in Toronto is an inviting one, and best of all, the pizza that this place serves is magnificent!

What Are The Must-Tries? All the pizzas on the menu of this place are unforgettable! Nevertheless, I encourage you to try their amazing Pepperoni Pizza. It has highly processed pepperoni and canned mushrooms. All these great toppings are on a near-perfect thin crust (light, chewy, crisp, and thin, yet strong enough to hold up under all 5 toppings that this place uses). All the portions are very generous. However, it doesn’t stack up against the competition.

What Does It Look Like? As mentioned earlier, when you visit Oakwood Pizzeria, it is like you are walking in an authentic Italian pizza place. The waiters and waitresses and the decoration of this place are so that it is all about comfortableness. The welcoming service that this place offers will complement any goodwill that you, as a customer, have.

These magnificent pizza place owners spend most of their time sourcing the right products for their restaurants. And those pizzas, made with these unique ingredients, are the essence of Terroni.

The crust is perfect, and every bite hits you right in that sweet spot of your inner foodie soul. In addition to that, the C’t Mang pizza is a delicious white pizza with lots of mozzarellas, Gorgonzola, fresh pears, walnuts, smoked prosciutto, and honey. It is so sweet and tasty.

In fact, the atmosphere is really classy yet comfortable. In addition to all those, it has gorgeous washrooms. Because of that, if you wanted to try authentic pizza in Toronto, you can always count on Marcello’s Pizzeria.

What Are The Must-Tries? It is kind of hard to choose from all the delicious pizzas on the menu! However, I recommend you to try Diavola Pizza. That pizza is so damn good! It is so thin but not too thin where it falls apart. The Diavola Pizza that this place serves is topped with rapini, cherry tomatoes, and barese sausage. Outstanding!

What Does It Look Like? The atmosphere is amiable and positive. The staff is quick to the table and very attentive. In fact, all of the servers are very knowledgeable and great with recommendations. It may get a bit loud with all of the people. But that is their atmosphere.

Anything Else I Should Know? Overall, Marcello’s Pizzeria is a safe bet. It is a good place to bring people. That is because the pizza is good, and they seem to have something for everyone. The service is fast, but they do not rush you (even when they have a line out the door!)

Because of that, their cuisine is built upon the fundamental views instilled in them since childhood, of prizing seasonal ingredients, simplicity, and deliciousness in preparing their pizza.

What Are The Must-Tries? As an authentic Italian pizza place, there are many must-try pizzas on the menu. However, I recommend you to try their Funghi Pizza. It has a creamy sauce and has an earthy flavour with all the mushrooms. In addition to that, it has a thinner crust. You will like the crust a lot since it isn’t crisped like a cracker. It wasn’t bread-like.

What Does It Look Like? You will love the different coloured chairs and the basement, painted with chalkboard walls and fabulous! They even have a DJ, who is probably a Friday night tradition.

What Exactly Is This Place? At Mamajoun, a marvellous pizza place in Scarborough in Toronto, the chef strives to create new and delicious flavours using only the finest ingredients. The Mamajoun pizza is an inspiration from their Greco Roman history. All the pizzas are made with their own tomato sauce, made from scratch, topped by their in-house silky blend of Middle Eastern cheese and uniquely prepared toppings to make each Mamajoun Pizza different than any other pizza that you have tried in the city.

What Are The Must-Tries? If you have never tried Armenian pizza, you will be surprised most pleasantly. It is totally different than your typical Italian or American pizza. They use flatbread as the pizza dough, and you can pick your base and toppings you like on it. The menu is easy to follow but hard to choose from. That is because everything looks so good. My recommendation is to get the red pepper base with red onions, turnips, and banana peppers.

What Does It Look Like? The establishment of Mamajoun itself is immaculate and inviting with nice décor. You can see the kitchen through a nice glass partition. They have a counter where you can see all the various types of joins for sale that day. Besides it, there is a counter with all the salads and dips. Overall, the décor is quaint.

Anything Else I Should Know? Unfortunately, there is not much seating in Mamajoun. It is more of a take-out kind of place. It can do a few side tables with bar stools along with the windows.

The price is sure right in this place, and the owner is such a kind man, always willing to accommodate requests of any kind.

What Are The Must-Tries? My recommendation is to try their “all dressed” pizza from all the delicious pizzas on the menu. It has pepperoni, shrooms, and green peppers as toppings. You can ask the guy to put the cheese on top of the toppings. The results will be golden cheesy goodness that covers the toppings completely.

What Does It Look Like? The atmosphere of Dundas Pizza can be described as “a dive.” With one table for eating, it is definitely a take-out food place.

The crust has a great texture, and every bit of pizza feels like it is made with a chef’s touch.

What Does It Look Like? Big Trouble Pizza has a cool 80s futuristic punk rock décor. In fact, the décor is tight. The artworks are indebted to the movie “Big Trouble in Little China,” which is one of the best movies ever.

Anything Else I Should Know? They do not use eggs in making the crust. Because of that, the crust they use is super flavorful. Some pizza places don’t know this fact.

What Does It Look Like? In 2017, they did retro design renovations that have made the place’s atmosphere even more adorable.

Anything Else I Should Know? There are no exotic toppings like chicken or sundried tomatoes. Using a special oven, the underside of the pizza is chattered to the point before burned.

What Are The Must-Tries? The owners of this magnificent place do really know what they do! Because of that, you can be sure that every item on the menu is a must-try! For example, their spicy Sicilian pizza is exactly what you expect. Spicy, salty, with a slight tang! In addition to that, their Vegan pizza is also a must-try. It has a nice balance of sweetness from the onions and a savoury flavour from the mushroom and cheese. The cheese on the pizza is quite strong (it is maybe the Gorgonzola). So, it adds a nice flavour to pizza without overpowering it. The crust is fragile as well and is cooked well without being burnt or crispy. The size of the pizza is also great. You are at most able to get through only 3 slices!

What Does It Look Like? In Taverna Mercatto, the décor is as great as the food. The place is decorated with many old-fashioned light bulbs and pots on the wall. You will immediately be thrilled by the gothic-inspired décor filled with found objects and dramatic chandeliers.

Anything Else I Should Know? To grab a bit of a nice pizza (whether at a work meeting, a date, or just by yourself), Taverna Mercatto is a great spot. This place offers all its authentic Italian pizza at an affordable price point.
