Lasagna is one of the most delicious dishes of the large pasta family, with a distinctive appearance. Lasagna is a broad pasta with usually grooved edges. Lasagna is usually layered, and meat and other ingredients are placed between the layers. Since this dish is originally pasta, it is considered to be an Italian food in the world. However, what we make as Lasagna is a little different from the original Italian one. To make Italian lasagna, you must use Béchamel sauce, which we will discuss and make it.

How to Make Lasagna without Oven

Making lasagna without an oven is also possible. To do this, choose a large, relatively well-oiled pan and grease it. Place two layers of lasagna on top of each other on a plate, pour the material with pizza cheese on it, and then wrap them up and do the same for the next layers. Then put the lasagna in the pan and close it to cook. But another way to make lasagna in the oven is to place the lasagna layers in a straight line. In that case, put the layers on the oil and pour the meat and cheese on the layers, then do the same for the next layer.

What to Béchamel sauce, and how is it made?

Béchamel sauce is a white sauce made from flour, butter, and milk, originally imported from Tuscany City in Florence, Italy to France, by an Italian chef. This sauce is the base of many white sauces, including Alfredo, commonly used with penne pasta or fettuccine. In the past, this sauce was made with veal and other ingredients such as celery, carrots, shallot, thyme, peppers, cream, and chicken. To make Béchamel sauce in a modern way, first, melt the butter in a large pan and then add flour to it and stir for 2 minutes until smooth. Then pour the milk into a large bowl and stir again until smooth. In the final step, add some salt and pepper, and if you have Indian nutmeg at home, add to the flavour.

Different Types Of Lasagna

Italian Lasagna Recipe

One of the main ingredients of Italian lasagna is Béchamel sauce, which we have explained how to make it. After making the sauce, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. To make the material between layers of lasagna, sauté the ground meat with olive oil. If you want your lasagna to look like Italian lasagna, be sure to use olive oil. Make sure to add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and basil when roasting the meat with the onions and let them cook. Add some tomato paste to the meat to make it red and be cooked with tomato paste. Consider the right container, such as Pyrex glassware, for lasagna. Grease the bottom of the dish with olive oil by using cooking spray or a kitchen paper napkin. Place the lasagna in the dish previously cooked in oil and salt, and pour Béchamel sauce. Then pour the meat until the lasagna completely covered and pour the cheese over the mixed meat. To make lasagna cheese, mix Ricotta cheese, Parmesan, mozzarella, parsley, and egg. Note that the amount of Mozzarella cheese should be more than other cheeses. Do the same for the next layers and finally cover the lasagna with cheese mixture.

Chicken Lasagna Recipe

To make this lasagna, cook chicken breast with onions and garlic and add turmeric, black pepper, and salt. Then shred and fry it in a pan with oil. To get rid of a strong poultry smell from chicken, it is best to add garlic when frying it. You can use tomato paste or Béchamel sauce to flavour the chicken. As in the previous instructions, you can even pour Béchamel sauce over the layers of lasagna, mix the chicken with the red sauce and pour it over the layers.

Vegetable Lasagna Recipe

If you are a vegetarian or should not eat meat or poultry for any reason, vegetable lasagna is a great option to diversify your diet. Wash eggplants first, cut into small cubes and fry with caramelized onion. Of course, using caramelized onions is optional, and you can fry the eggplants without it too. Then add some mushrooms. You can also add some bell peppers, peas, and carrots. Besides, it is optional to choose the type of vegetables according to your taste. But keep in mind that eggplant with mushrooms is a better blend, and if you use other vegetables, avoid eggplant. Pour the mixed vegetables over the cooked lasagna layers and pour the cheese on it as previous instructions. If you like meat but can’t eat it because of blood fats and other issues, you can also use soy instead of meat.

Lasagna Roll-Ups Recipe

This type of lasagna is suitable for parties and is a kind of Finger food. The ingredients in the lasagna rolls can be optionally used with meat, chicken, or vegetables, as described above. Spread each layer of cooked lasagna on a tray and pour the sauce, ingredients, and cheese on it and roll it. Pour the cheese and vegetables again on each roll and place them in a pan with hot oil or in the oven to cook.

Lasagna is one of the tastiest foods, and most people like it. Meanwhile, due to certain diseases or specific diets, people may not be able to eat classic lasagna. For this reason, this article explains how to make different types of lasagna, including Italian lasagna, vegetable lasagna, like eggplant.
