Carisma is an Italian restaurant on King East Street, Toronto. The food is absolutely delicious! Choices range from typical Italian favourites (Caprese salad) made with fresh ingredients and beautifully balanced to more original recipes (duck ravioli) equally fabulous. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic evening or a night out with friends, suave, and cushy. The restaurant is beautiful, it is easy to get a reservation, and the service is impeccable.
The most important part, the food, is delicious. The menu is obviously prepared with great care and a Mediterranean flair. The wine list is also very well edited. In Carisma, you can order their famous dish, The Ricotta Gnocchi, which is tender and melts in your mouth as it should. The sauce is decadent without being over-bearing. It is accompanied by what you like to call a tiny cheese crisp bowl, carrying a tiny fresh sprig salad inside of it. You can also try the Tagliolini Taste, which comes with clams, cherry tomatoes, and white wine. It is also quite good with the flavours working well together, and the pasta is cooked al dente perfectly. The wine list is extensive, so your knowledge of Italian wines will be tested here!
The ambiance is more modern Italian, with dim lighting and sufficient room between tables, so you are not on top of the person beside you. This restaurant has possibly the best service in Toronto. The servers are attentive, informative, timely, and charming. Do you remember that Cinderella scene when all the birds fly in to help her get ready for the ball? Well, this is what you will feel like when you sit down; servers come from every corner to bring you bread (delicious, crispy crust), spread the napkin for you, offer you water and put down the menu. The food is consistently wonderful, and you honestly cannot go wrong no matter what you order. Overall, if you want a great Italian dining experience, this is the place to go to!

The food quality, respect to the customer’s tastes, and the catering service’s speed are Haida Catering’s primary goals, which are satisfied by using fresh and healthy ingredients. So many choices! What a great place! If you are down for an eating journey near Yonge and King Street West filled with laughs, new experiences, and old feel dining, I highly recommend trying out this little treasure of a restaurant! The first thing you notice when you walk in is the decor; it sets the ambiance nicely with fishnets levelling off the floor. They do a great job of making it feel like you are on a boat.
One of the most recommended dishes to order in Pearl Diver is the Grilled Sea Bream; the fish’s bone is easy to take off, allowing the fish to keep a good amount of its fattiness. The meat is thicker than most white fishes, and the skin is crispy from the grilling. On top of that, the lemon is a heavenly balance to neutralize the char-flavour of the grill. You can also taste the Pearl Diver Burger with Mennonite bacon and applewood-smoked cheddar. The patty is made from ground, dry-aged, heritage-breed beef and topped with red onions, pickles, arugula, and a secret sauce. It is cooked on a flat-top to seal in its juices, and it is just all-around tasty. Depending on what is in season (although you do not have to worry about eating shellfish here during “r”-fewer months – times have changed), the oyster selection varies, but Pearl Diver tries to have some from each coast, plus European ones, available to cover all five species.
In terms of its physical makeover, new cozy booths are made of repurposed old wooden church pews from the Anglican Diocese of Toronto across the street, giving the restaurant a more casual, homey feel than its predecessor. The ambiance is really good with a modern industrial look and feels to it. There are really nice touches at the bar and on the walls that feel really authentically Canadian. Highly recommended!

Nami Japanese Restaurant is one of the best and most authentic Japanese restaurants downtown near Yonge and King Street West. Their sashimi and sushi are always fresh, and they offer some traditional Japanese dishes not commonly found in other Japanese restaurants in the city (such as Chawanmushi, Gindara, and Sukiyaki). There is also a good selection of soba noodles with miso-based broth.
Nami is also well-known for its robata (grilled items); there is a package menu that contains various grilled proteins and vegetables, along with grilled rice balls and miso soup. Their seaweed salad is also better than those in most other places – it is not the seaweed salad that is neon green and coated with lots of sugar. The sushi bar is very traditional. They do not generally go for anything too fancy or trendy, which is sometimes preferable when you want to highlight the seafood quality – which they do!
One of the most recommended dishes to order in this place is the Sushi and Sashimi Dinner. The sashimi is really fresh, and they give you three pieces of salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. Also, there are four sushi pieces: tuna, salmon, boiled shrimp, and butterfish. Besides, there are also three pieces of spicy tuna roll. Finally, there is a piece of chef Inari’s sushi: rice inside a sweet bean curd bag with shrimp and crab on top! So YUMMY!
The ambiance is traditional Japanese, and they even have the samurai armour at the door if you are into those things. The waitresses wear kimonos, and they have private booths and a tatami room for groups. The restaurant is very elegant, and they will usually accommodate reservations for specific tables/areas (i.e., booth, Hori-kotatsu sunken floor, standard tables). I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an authentic, delicious, and sublime Japanese experience!

Hy’s Steakhouse, located in the heart of Toronto, has been a mainstay of the city since 1960. With its dark wood panel walls, rich red carpets, leather booths, dim lighting, and white tablecloths, it is a classic steakhouse in every sense of that term. Such establishment hearkens back to an earlier time when having a good steak represented the zenith of the “dine out” experience. At Hy’s, you will have the opportunity to partake in such a repast and reminisce while in the presence of good company.
If you are down for an eating journey near Yonge and King Street West, here you are; Hy’s Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar offers you the best plates you have ever had! Do not pass up the chance to start a meal here with cheese toast. Cheesy, bubbly, crispy, and just slightly greasy with a spongy interior, you can even order this on its own as a bar snack. In Hy’s, you can also order Black & Blue Ahi Tuna, which is coated in Hy’s smoky Cajun seasoning brand that adds a kick to the otherwise bright, raw fish with a light outer sear presented with soy, wasabi, and chopsticks. It is highly recommended that you order a bone-in cut like this closer to medium so all the fat can render into the tougher meat, resulting in a tender, juicy interior and a flavorful exterior.
The service is fantastic, attentive, and very accommodating. It has such a welcoming vibe as soon as you enter, and you will always leave satisfied. If you plan on coming there, I would suggest going early as the place gets packed in a hurry. The hot food section has a good selection and great taste as well. This place will be your go-to place when you are craving some authentic plates. Give it a try, and you will not be disappointed.

Have you been searching for the perfect restaurant near Yonge and King Street West? Well, search no more. Right across the street from Adelaide Street, there is a very known treasure that you should try their food at least once – the CRAFT Beer Market Toronto! They have a fantastic selection of craft beers, almost 140! You will never get bored with this place because they have so many selections! Their food goes very well with their craft beers, and they also somehow infuse beers into their food which is quite impressive (like beer, chicken wings, etc.).
One of the most recommended dishes t order in this place is the Fast-Food Sushi, as it is called cheeseburger and fries wrapped in bacon with jalapeno cream cheese topped with pickles and served with a scant line of BBQ sauce. It is a salt bomb, but it mostly just tastes like bacon, so there is that. In Craft Beer Market, you can also have some healthier alternatives like the Yucatan Chicken Salad, a mound of mixed greens is topped with fire-roasted corn, Pico de Gallo, avocado, roasted red pepper, black beans, shredded cheddar, chilli lime dressing with a surprising pop, naturally raised chicken and a tall tortilla sail.
Craft Beer Market has done a great job maintaining their vision of bringing “sophisticated comfort food, unique craft beers and maintain active community involvement. The atmosphere is also fantastic! This place is very loud with music and people talking, so it may not be the best place to have some serious conversations, but memorable for friends gathering or if you want to have some great craft beers! Craft Beer Market has a beautiful patio, and the location is convenient when you are in the Financial District of Toronto. It is highly recommended.

The Chase restaurant is one of Toronto’s most recommended places to visit, located in Temperance Street, with excellent access to Yonge Street and King Street West. The Chase offers a great ambiance for dates, business meetings, and everything in between. The restaurant sits five floors up on Temperance street and has a Vegas-style feel to it, very elegant, high ceilings, giant chandeliers, and more. They put some thought into a room, knowing people are coming to spend a nice chunk of change to eat there.
In the absence of a regional focus, the menu is diverse. Along with raw offerings and a la carte vegetable options, there is a wide range of proteins, from salmon to veal tenderloin to a whole roasted chicken for two. Another recommended dish to order in this classy restaurant is the Steak Tartare, arriving elegant topped with a quail’s egg. It is a short little ritual that is an occasion for some customer/staff interaction and an excellent example of the desire to avoid being too prim and proper about plating and presentation. The portion size is substantial, and the dish is well balanced. While it is easy to note horseradish and salsa Verde’s presence, neither takes center stage, which allows the beef to present well. This restaurant also has one fantastic vegan option at a very affordable price featuring different varieties of veggies and loads of salad options to choose from
This location is well organized and staffed by very polite and friendly professionals dedicated to their works. You had all of the servers and managers come by at some point, but somehow, they all come for a reason, so they are not pestering you. You could ask anyone anything and feel comfortable as they are all able to help. Cool, trendy spot if you like combining food with rooftops and patios. Give it a try, and you will not be disappointed!

Cafe/pizzeria/bakery!? Sud Forno provides customers with their exquisite and unique dishes, located in Yonge Street near King Street West. This location is not to be missed for lovers of Terroni, imported Italian products, Italian home cooking. There is a long display case of several delicious-looking fresh pastries, cookies, donuts, and around five different flatbreads upon walking in. So many yummy-looking choices that it was hard to decide what to get! A beautiful and very versatile hangout space in a neighbourhood that needs one. Everything here is delicious (focaccia loaves of bread, cornetto’s, pastries, and their fresh brew of coffees).
Pistachio gelato is the way to go! Made with real pistachios, there are chunks of them in it, and it does not look like it is made with that artificial mint green colouring. Sandwiches are made fresh daily on house bread or pastries. Variations like the Cornetto Prosciutto Cotto e Friulano and Panino Salame e Cambozola are topped simply with salt and pepper, perhaps a little olive oil, and then wrapped in paper for easy handheld takeaway. You can also order the Classico sandwich with prosciutto crisp, tomato, basil, and Fior di latte. They are heated to perfection with a crispy crust, chewy bread, perfect balance of savoury, salty prosciutto, smooth, fresh mozzarella, and fresh tomato burst. You can order wine or whatever liquor they have in stock on their shelf.
This space encompasses a more casual grab-and-go downstairs cafeteria and an upstairs table service space geared towards more serene, high-end dining. All the staff is also friendly and attentive, so contribute to the overall dining experience. Seamlessly working as a team attending to each table, your water glasses are refilled, and plates scooped away promptly and adequately. You can see into the bustling kitchen where they are turning out beautifully plated meals. Certainly, worth a try if you are looking for something just a little different. A good start for a new culinary experience!

HotHouse is a famous restaurant located in a beautiful part of Toronto near Yonge and King Street West. You get a fantastic view of the Gooderham building! Great rustic home cooking, all-in-all the food’s consistency is always same – great food, well-cooked and adequately cooked if you want your meats/steak a certain way, everything seems legendary or the type of food you can only get at this establishment.
The HotHouse menu selection is something to boast about. There are also mussels, roast beef, salmon, and delicious chicken legs. They have savoury pork sausage, rice, potatoes too. One of the most recommended dishes to order is the Marsala chicken which is baked chicken breast seasoned with this mushroom sauce and wine and comes with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The chicken is moist and pairs so well with the sauce! The skin is also luscious and has a lot of flavour to it. The mashed potatoes are also delicious, and you will love dipping your chicken into them. The taste of the mash will be one of the best you have ever had.
You will love HotHouse. It is well priced, lots of seating, great food, very friendly and accommodating staff. It is one of Toronto’s only spots that take reservations for brunch and is not “first-come, first-serve,” and there is seating available for large groups. One noticeable fact about this restaurant is that there are always many servers looking around, all with smiling faces. They are all very welcoming and kind towards customers. They are also brilliant with the children; they seem to enjoy their work, motivating them to provide a great customer experience. Worth a try!

Beerbistro is a hidden gem in Toronto with excellent access to Yonge Street and King Street West, serving one of the most fabulous dishes you have ever had. The tap list is impressive, and there are also many bottles to choose from, as well as wines and other cocktails. Not only are the beverages great, but the food is not an afterthought. The food, good down-to-earth familiar and yet in the ranks of fine-dining, so darn good. Overall, this place is quite lovely, with a good variety of choices on the menu.
Usually pretty busy during dinner time, the restaurant serves a lot of French bistro-style food items, ranging from flatbreads to beef tartare to duck confit and steamed mussels; there are enough options to satisfy all types of eaters across the spectrum. Brussels-style mussels are four typical options steamed in beer broth and served with a loaf of freshly baked sourdough. These are adorned with confetti of smoked sausage, tomato, chilli, fennel, garlic, and parsley for an addictive bowl of plump and juicy shellfish.
The place has a nice ambiance — bar at the front and dining area at the back. You can also see a nice view of the kitchen since it is an open kitchen. You can see chefs hustling and bustling while you wait for your food or enjoying your food. They had a chill atmosphere, with TVs situated around the bar and restaurant, so this is a great place to gather to watch games. The service is also consistently good. At the table, they are very attentive and seem to know the food menu well. They are also very knowledgeable about beer. Give it a try! You will not be disappointed.

If one day you wanted to treat yourself to the most memorable dishes near Yonge and King Street West at a very reasonable price and get the most professional service in a friendly, clean, and efficient restaurant, then visit Terroni. The restaurant has an extensive menu of pasta and pizza. Take you forever to decide what to order. When you go to Terroni, you will genuinely have a hearty meal because their dishes are incredibly filling. You will be genuinely surprised! I have to warn you that their Italian dishes are so unique that you may become addicted!
Odds are, if you are at Terroni, you are there for classic pizza or pasta, though they have excellent appetizers, specials, and a fantastic standard salumi plate. They do a standard grilled calamari appetizer on mixed greens with balsamic dressing, tomatoes, and capers. One special pizza is a Crudaiola, a pizza Bianca, or white pizza (no tomato sauce). It is a dish topped with arugula, fresh cherry tomatoes, and ricotta Salata. All pizza dough and pasta are made in-house at the next-door bakery Sud Forno. There are also lots of options for different tastes like rigatoni arcobaleno. It is a vegetarian favourite, made merely with zucchini, a light cherry tomato sauce, basil, and mozzarella di buffalo.
Though this restaurant is known for its capacity and the frenzy serving so many diners create, this location has plenty of cozy crannies that make it feel like you are dining all by yourselves, even with a crowd of people around you. The staff is warm and friendly, and the price is fantastic for the portion you receive. In addition to the excellent service, the food sides are outstanding. A large variety to suit everyone’s taste. You cannot beat this place! Happy, happy tummy!

No matter what day of the week, this establishment is always packed like there is no tomorrow. The inside is dark, with dark wood trim, dark leather chairs, pops of yellow velvet, and hints of burgundy and glass, high ceilings, Chrome light fixers, and a separate room with loads of standing space and racks of wine. It seems like the right place for groups as well as a date night.
One of the most recommended dishes to order in this place is the8oz Grass Fed Tenderloin, which is made up of grilled broccolini, green peppercorn jus, and roasted fingerling potatoes. In Jump Restaurant, your food will be prepared in less than 10 minutes, but it is always fresh and carefully prepared. The buns are always perfectly toasted, the ingredients fresh and plentiful, the burger patties expertly grilled, complimented by fries with just the right amount of crisp. The beef patty is very moist and juicy, and they are very light in salt, which is a perfect combination with the saltier patty at the bottom. It is so moist that you can finish the burger without drinking a drop of water.

It is a great restaurant experience and a great place to hang out, especially after work. If you have not been there before, make reservations and prepare yourself to have a fabulous night. The restaurant features red and black decor, illuminated booths, and a tiny patio out front. Bikkuri is a large spacious Japanese restaurant with lavish interiors.
