Situated within half kilometres of the Little Italy neighbourhood, Giulietta serves wood-fired pizza and house-made pasta. As Giulietta occupies a luxurious building in a decent community, we featured it on top of all other pizza places on our list today. Plus, the interior is astonishingly filled with modern booths and tables to set an ambiance perfect for a friends-and-family gathering. You’ll also be surprised to know this restaurant has been ranked in Canada’s top 100 restaurants list for 2019.
The pizza items are all very unique and delicious. They claim to serve pizzas that can’t be found elsewhere. One of the most popular options is the signature La Giulietta that includes Sicilian pistachio, lardo di Modena, panna & smoked scamorza. La Campagnola is also highly recommended as it’s loaded with wood-roasted mushrooms, ricotta, fior di latte, sage and black pepper. Don’t forget about their famous vegetarian option, L’ Amatriciana, consisting of tomato, guanciale, pepperoncino and pecorino.
Giulietta contains comfortable booths and chairs, and everything looks clean with a beautiful discipline. The prices are reasonable for such a luxurious restaurant with impeccable service. Occupying a unique building in Little Italy, Bitondo Pizzeria has been offering their mouthwatering slices, sandwiches, panzerotti, pies made-to-order since the opening day. Bitondo has got a simple décor, but their quality pizza has made them very popular in the area, and it certainly made us feature it in our list. They’re proud to offer the best old-school pizza in Toronto, making the customers come from all over the city.
These time-honoured pizza joints with secret family recipes and traditional methods go back generations, bring old-world flavours to the present day, and serve as an important reminiscent. While new restaurants come and go, they continue to wow the crowd no matter what’s trending. The menu is limited but perfected to bring the highest pleasure a pizza can give. They come in four different sizes: Small 12″, Medium 14″, Large 16″ and Party Size 15×21″. The options are based on the number of toppings that can easily be chosen.
The restaurant’s interior is cozy and to-the-point and makes the takeout and delivery service as quick as possible. The classic vibe of Bitondo brings character to the neighbourhood. Furthermore, the cash-only policy makes the atmosphere even more nostalgic. The sincere behaviour of the servers and owners is eye-catching. If you are in the neighbourhood, don’t lose the chance of trying this pizzeria.

Located at 964 Bathurst St, Napoli Centrale provides a rustic setting for wood-fired pizzas, salads, panini paired with wines, coffee and liqueurs. Being only a few meters away from Little Italy, this authentic Napolitan pizzeria is a great place for the people of the area to enjoy the ancient Neopolitan tradition to the tables. They claim they use only the freshest ingredients, and it certainly seems they are right to their claim.
A good variety of mouthwatering pizzas are separated into Le PIZZE Rosse (classic tomato sauce) and Le PIZZE Bianche (white – olive oil). Furthermore, the thin crispy crust of pizzas tastes as if it’s made of heaven. Capricciosa is a red pizza made of fior di latte, tomato, artichoke, mushroom, olives and ham and is the spotlight of the items. I also highly recommend you try Caprese comprising focaccia with fresh tomato, sliced fiore di latte, oregano and basil.
Napoli Centrale’s ambiance is in a rivalry with their food. It’s cozy yet spacious, consisting of comfortable booths and chairs. The Italian music played at the bar provides a unique atmosphere for you to let yourself get carried away. The staff is energetic and happy to work there so you’ll never forget their smile and professional attitude. Make sure you gather your friends and family and pay a visit to this hidden gem.

Since the opening in 2008, Pizzeria Libretto Ossington Location’s goal has been offering both quality and value near Little Italy neighbourhood. As the owners are born in Toronto by Italian-immigrant parents, their cuisine is built upon the fundamental views instilled in them since childhood, prizing seasonal ingredients, simplicity, and deliciousness.
They offer a set of top-notch Neapolitan pizzas that fully satisfy your taste buds. The pizza items hold a unique diversity and consist of a thin, perfectly cooked crust which has become their signature. For instance, ‘Nduja is out of this world comprising spicy Calabrian sausage, San Marzano tomato, garlic, oregano, fior di latte mozzarella, stracciatella cheese, and fresh basil. Funghi is also highly recommended, made of white pizza, cremini mushroom, gorgonzola crema, garlic, thyme, rosemary, fior di latte, mozzarella and pecorino cheese.
Interestingly enough, Libretto is not limited just to Neapolitan items; instead, they offer some other excellent options, including Pizza Siciliana and Neo-Ny Pizzas. Occupying the perfect location in Little Italy, Trattoria Taveniti has been the ideal dining place for the locals since 2011. However, their history goes back to 1956 when the owner’s mother came to the city and became in charge of many kitchens, some as many as 30 people working under her. Now the mother and son put all their skills and efforts into cooking the best pizza in the area.
A wide range of mouthwatering pizzas is presented in their authentic Italian menu. Surprisingly all the recipes are formed by the owners making the items one of a kind. The signature Calabrese consists of the original tomato sauce, mozzarella, hot soppressata, n’duja, black olives and honey. They highly recommend you try Rosina, which contains a unique selection of ingredients: basil pesto, mozzarella, n’duja, hot soppressata, gorgonzola and red peppers.
Trattoria is quaint and charming with exposed brick, checked table cloths and old barn wood. The cozy patio in the back provides a very romantic spot for a lovely evening. Overall, it is a comfortable restaurant great for a mid-afternoon lunch break, feasts with friends and family, and drinking wine later in the evening. The servers are amicable and helpful as they give some great suggestions based on your preferences. Furthermore, the owners and chefs are pretty sweet, and they come to your table and ask whether you’re enjoying your food and time. I guarantee you’ll step out here fully satisfied and happy.
